Racism and Injustice: How Has the Church Been Involved?
December 3 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Join the Living the Word Justice and Equity Ministry on December 3 & 4 from 6–8:30 PM, for Racism and Injustice: How Has the Church Been Involved?, a virtual participatory workshop that delves into the origins of race and racism in America, with particular attention to the role of the Church. (We will also examine how we have not yet escaped this legacy of racism and demonstrate how systemic racism continues to wreak havoc, resulting in unnecessarily disparate outcomes for people of color.) By examining the Church’s involvement in perpetuating racial ideologies, we aim to identify paths toward healing hearts, minds, relationships, and institutions.
The facilitators will be Suzanne Haley and Ernesto Barriguete.
Register by November 23rd.
